 Curaçao Carnival 2026 Parade Schedule


February 13 – Teener Parade

A vibrant parade featuring teenage groups in full costume. Energetic, modern, and extremely lively.


February 14 – Marcha BĆ”ndabou

A parade through the western part of the island, offering a slightly different atmosphere from the central Willemstad events.


February 15 – Gran Marcha

The Grand Parade. The biggest and most anticipated Carnival event of the season. Massive costumes, large bands, trucks with music, and thousands of spectators.


February 16 – Marcha Despedida Hubenil

The Youth Farewell Parade. A colorful and emotional closing parade for younger participants.


February 17 – Gran Marcha Despedida

The Grand Farewell Parade. The official closing of Carnival season with final celebrations before Ash Wednesday.

If you are visiting during these dates, expect road closures, heavy traffic, and a high-energy island atmosphere.


Gran Marcha Parade Route


The Gran MarchaĀ passes through:

  • Schottegatweg West

  • Roodeweg

  • Otrobanda

These areas become packed with spectators, music trucks, and beautifully dressed Carnival groups.

You can choose a location along the route to stand. Some people prefer earlier parts of the route for slightly smaller crowds. Others love Otrobanda for the full energy experience.

Arrive early. Once groups start passing, moving around becomes difficult.


What to Bring to CuraƧao Carnival


Carnival is long. Hot. Loud. Fun. Preparation makes the difference.
